The U/16 “A” Football championship got under way on Saturday March 12th with a game against Commercials in Clonmel. Even though the boys were training over the last couple of weeks this was their first match. A panel of 22 turned up and so most of the panel got a run during the match. The final score was a Commercials victory by 2-12 to 1-06. However this does not give the full picture as the team were only two points behind in the first half and it was lack of matches and maybe fitness that gave us the final score line.

This group has Moyle Rovers, Cahir, Ardfinnan and the Swan to play in the weeks ahead so it is all to play for.

The Juvenile Scor, which was postponed last weekend, is now rescheduled for Sunday March 20th in the Sports Centre Clonmel at 5pm. We wish all our young participants the best of luck.
