Juvenile Update 29/4/16

On Wednesday 20th, Kilsheelan's u14s travelled to Carrick to play Swan in the football championship. They came up against a very strong Swan outfit and unfortunately lost out by 6 points. Their match against Moyle Rovers was postponed by Rovers and is set for Thursday 12th in Kilsheelan. This is a must-win for Kilsheelan.

On a brighter note, the U12s won their A semi final against Clonmel Og in Monroe last Saturday. After a close first half, Kilsheelan pulled away in the second half and won well. Their opponents will be decided tomorrow after the other semi final between Cahir and Clonmel Commercials ended level after extra time. The final is likely to be on Monday 9th May in a neutral venue.

Our U16s recorded their first win in the A football competition against Knockmealdown Gaels – a combination of Fr Sheehy, Newcastle and Ballylooby. The home team were surprisingly weak for a combination of 3 clubs, and Kilsheelan won well. They are still in the hunt for a semi final place, but need wins in their last 2 matches against Clonmel Og/Clerihan (Monday 9th May) and Clonmel Commercials (refixed date to be confirmed).
