Juvenile Update 29/3/16

It was another busy weekend for our U12 teams in their respective football championships. First up was a good win in difficult conditions for our U12A team against Clonmel Og in Clonmel on Friday evening. Unfortunately our other team in the C competition suffered defeat away to Ballylooby. This team has been unfortunate to meet some very strong teams early on, coming up against both Ballyporeen and Ballylooby's first teams. Our team contains several u10s. Their results do not reflect the effort being put in by this panel, and I expect an upturn in fortunes in the coming weeks.

Also at the weekend, Mark Stokes was our sole club representative on the South hurling team in the U16 Garda cup in Dr Morris Park on Saturday. Unfortunately the South suffered a 1-point defeat to the Mid, who went on to win the tournament. That said, Mark performed very well, particularly on free-taking duties.

Our U8s took part in a hurling blitz in Portlaw on Saturday – report to follow.

Upcoming fixtures for this week:

Our U14s make their competitive bow, hosting Ballingarry in the Peil, 6pm in Kilsheelan.

Both our U12A and U12C teams play their respective counterparts from Commercials this weekend. Times, dates and venues to be confirmed.

No action this weekend for our U16s this weekend, as the U15 Rogern Ryan hurling tournament takes place in Toomevara on Saturday – best of luck to the representatives from Kilsheelan-Kilcash.

Our U16s are to play Cahir in Kilsheelan next Monday 6.30pm in Kilsheelan.
