While most of the juvenile teams' activities are wrapping up for the year, some teams are still finishing the season strongly.
Recently, the u6s had 2 teams travel to Piltown for challenge hurling matches. They also have hurling and football matches against Clerihan in Kilsheelan on Tuesday evening.
The u8s took part in the David Boland memorial tournament in Monroe last weekend, while the u10s played in the Paddy Boland tournament in Carrick at the same time. While neither team managed to win their respective tournaments outright, both gave excellent accounts of themselves.
This coming Friday 9th is the juvenile club's Family Evening – instead of training, the u6s, u8s, u10s and u12s will play hurling and football matches amongst themselves. Parents, families and friends are invited to come along, watch the matches and see how much the players have improved over the past year. There will be tea, coffee and light refreshments afterwards. Anyone who wishes to help out could bring sandwiches, buns, etc and/or help out with serving of same on the night. We look forward to seeing you all there.
