The U12s continued their good start to the hurling campaign, picking up their second win in 2 games, this time against Mullinahone. Playing against the breeze, Kilsheelan were 2 points up at half time. The contest stayed close for the third quarter of the match, before Kilsheelan sealed the win with a few late scores. Well done to the panel on the day. The U12s next match is another tough assignment, against Ballybacon-Grange next Saturday at 12:00 in Goatenbidge.

Several girls from the Kilsheelan-Kilcash parish were involved in the Sliabh na mBan U12 team that played in the County Football Final in Bansha last Tuesday. Unfortunately the girls came up just short and were defeated in the final.

Our U14 hurlers got their season under way last Tuesday in Kilsheelan against Ballingarry. The price of success in the football campaign is that we had very little time to prepare properly for the hurling. This, along with the step-up to "A" hurling, was evident on Tuesday, where the team lost to a strong Ballingarry side by 2 points. No time to dwell on that loss, as they take on the favourites for the title Carrick Swan, on Thursday at 7pm in Kilsheelan.
